Port Grimaud is a private lakeside city in Grimaud, which is in the Var. The city was built in 1964 on the dried up lagoons and marshland, the brainchild of architect François Spoerry.
Port Grimaud is France's answer to Venice. Canals and small bridges cut through the town.
"Les Prairies de la Mer" campsite is wonderfully situated. In the heart of the Gulf of St Tropez, across the water from the famous town of St Tropez, the campside is just a five minute walk to Port Grimaud.
From the campsite you can visit Grimaud, Ramatuelle, Cavalaire, and Les Marines de Cogolin, not forgetting the famous beaches in St Tropez: Pampelonne, Les Salins and Le Cap Camarat.
